Etihad Airways are caught up in a sea of announcements with the most recent stating the airline has unveiled a major fare sale.
Return deals from Australia to Europe and the Middle East start from AU$1834, with flights between Adelaide and Dublin down to AU$2138 and flights from Sydney to London sit at AU$8465.
The sale was announced to commemorate the Virgin Blue partnership announced this week as well as promote Etihad launching the Australia Skypass, “a new fare product that allows inbound tourists to fly all over Australia and New Zealand on up to six domestic/ Tasman sectors from USD$55 per sector.
“We believe the Australia Skypass will be a boon for domestic tourism in Australia, giving untapped European tourists access to secondary ports such as Tasmania and Far North Queensland, as well as connectivity between the major capital cities,” Etihad Airways Chief Commercial Officer Peter Baumgartner said.
“This kind of inbound fare product will showcase Australia beyond just Melbourne and Sydney, although of course not excluding them.”The partnership between Etihad and Virgin Blue was announced this week and will allow Virgin Blue’s, V Australia to launch non-stop services to Abu Dhabi in 2011.
