Tempo Holidays has made Nile cruising the hero of its new Egypt Dubai 2010 brochure.
It has also introduced a second person travels free on land arrangements on one of its new packages.
The brochure covers Egypt, Israel, Jordan, United Arab Emirates (Dubai and Abu Dhabi), Oman and Qatar. It includes private touring, cruising, country combination tours, gateway city “Taste of…” packages, city tours, sightseeing and Asia stopovers.
Movenpick, Sonesta, Oberoi and Presidential cruise companies and images of cabins, lounges and dining rooms of their leading cruise ships are highlighted in an 11-page section devoted to Nile cruises.
Product Manager, Jeremy Hearst said he believed the new focus on Nile cruising would cement Tempo Holidays’ presence as the market leader in Australia.
“We are showing off the details agents need for their clients to choose a cruise ship,” he said. “Of the 400 or so Nile cruise vessels operating, there are probably only 20 that are really well suited to discerning Australian travellers … and we’ve got nearly all of them in our program.”
The choice ranges from the 25-cabin luxury Oberoi Zahra to the lead-in fleet of Presidential Nile Cruise ships. The Oberoi Zahra is the vessel in a new package, the 11-day A Gentle Sail Through History (from $6729 per person twin share) which enjoys exclusive docking, unlike most cruise ships on the Nile. This ensures that the Oberoi vessel is never parked alongside other ships when in port.
Movenpick is in the brochure for the first time.
Mr Hearst said Tempo Holidays had forged strong alliances with the cruising companies and so was able to provide the best rates and the best access.
Tempo Holidays has similar close associations with hotel operators in the region, having visited all 74 hotels in the brochure to ensure the quality of all featured products.
New to the brochure are seven-day Flavours of Cairo & the Sinai, Flavours of Cairo & the Red Sea and Flavours of Cairo & the Western Desert packages and a reverse itinerary for cruising in the 13-day Total Egypt package which means travellers finish the tour with the finest examples of ancient Egyptian temples in Luxor and the Valley of the Kings.
A new six-day Total Egypt Extension at Sharm El Sheikh is designed for travellers who want to relax on the beach after the tour.
Tempo Holidays is launching the new Egypt & Dubai brochure with a special offer on its 13-day Total Egypt package where the second passenger sharing a twin or double room enjoys free land arrangements.
For example, the full price prior to discount for travel between May 17 and 31 is $6224 for two people sharing a twin room (prices exclude international airfares).
