When and why did you join the industry?
I first joined the industry as a junior consultant around 1996 I remember going to a local agent for a flight to Sydney and being amongst so many different destinations it got me intrigued! I then had a family and went back into retail sales part time with the Helloworld group.
I joined Club Med April 2019

To be back on the road after 8 years is just amazing. I so missed that side of my job.It has been so great to catch up with “old faces” that I used to call on and also meeting new agents. More of a funny travel experience, my husband and I were travelling throughout Italy and using the trains. My husband jumped on the train and I was on the platform giving him the baggage all of a sudden the doors closed and off the train departed with me still standing on the platform!!! I couldn’t stop laughing but my poor husband was panicking! Thank goodness for mobile phones as I quickly messaged him and told him I was on my way!!
What are three things you always take with you when travelling?
Passport / Credit Card / Phone
Name someone famous you’d like to travel with and a destination you’d like to go with them.
Unfortunately this person is no longer alive but it would have to be Karl Lagerfeld famous fashion designer for Chanel. Flagship store Paris private shopping and I could choose whatever I would like at Chanel!
What direction do you see the industry heading in over the next five to ten years?
I think its going to become more and more digital but those who see it as an opportunity not a threat will flourish. We need to empower ourselves with the best tools of the trade to become better than we have ever been.
