Rail Europe’s great train journeys showcase

More than 300 travel agents attended Rail Europe’s Great Train Journeys Showcase in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane this year.

Meeting and hearing from representatives of Belmond, Journey Beyond, Great Journeys of New Zealand, Golden Eagle, The Blue Train & Bushtracks, Switzerland Tourism, Via Rail and the Rocky Mountaineer, agents were updated on the latest services, itineraries and selling tips.

Each night ended with agents winning prizes in a lucky business card draw and the top scorers of the Quiz took home the Grand Prize of the Ultimate Grand Train Tour of Switzerland, a 13D/12N package plus $1000 towards flights. The grinning grand prize winners were Rachael Stent from Four Corners Travel Group Melbourne, Dana Garofani from UTracks Sydney, and Elizabeth Clarke from The Cruise Centre Brisbane.

With a growing Great Train Journeys portfolio and increase in demand for new travel experiences, agents can look forward to another Showcase in 2020. Dates will be announced early next year.
