Mojo Nomad wins top honors in major design awards
Mojo Nomad, the pioneering lifestyle hotel collection in Hong Kong, won top accolades at two major design awards ceremonies this month, recognizing the brand’s excellence in hospitality, design and innovation. At Boutique Design magazine’s 2018 Gold Key Awards in New York, Mojo Nomad Central, which opened this October in the heart of Hong Kong, won in the category of “Best Guest Room Focused Service.” And Mojo Nomad was also recognized with a Gold Award for “Graphic Design” in Corporate Identity and Branding at the 2018 Hong Kong Design Awards.
Winners in 21 categories were announced at the 38th annual Gold Key Awards for Excellence in Hospitality Design ceremony at Manhattan’s Gotham Hall. The Gold Key Awards, the industry’s oldest and most prestigious awards program, recognizes the most influential and innovative design work in the hospitality industry. Mojo Nomad Central, the latest opening from the game-changing Mojo Nomad hospitality brand, was a finalist in three categories, including “Best Lobby Focused Service” and “Best Hotel Focused Service.” The Mojo Nomad brand, inclusive of the just-opened Mojo Nomad Central and the inaugural property, Mojo Nomad Aberdeen, was also a finalist for the “Best Emerging Hotel Concept.” The Hong Kong-based designer and architecture firm for the Mojo Nomad brand, ALT-254, accepted the award for “Best Guest Room Focused Service” at the ceremony in New York City.
Mojo Nomad also received a Gold Award at the 2018 Hong Kong Design Awards, which celebrates creative and innovative design in the traditional or digital visual representation of ideas and messages. The project creator, R-Co Brand, developed the ‘Choose your world’ tagline, building on the brand’s vision to offer imaginative environments that encourage guests to connect with new people, ideas and experiences.
Girish Jhunjhnuwala, founder and CEO of Mojo Nomad and its parent company, Ovolo Hotels, has been innovating within the industry since 2010 with his vision to create a distinct hotel experience that the global traveler can become immersed in.These two awards reflect his vision for Mojo Nomad as a unique community for global travelers.
