Grand Hotel Tremezzo’s concierge service awarded
The Concierge services and experiences offered at the historic hotel receive the highest acknowledgement within the luxury hospitality industry.
A glimmer of light sparkles on the waters of Lake Como and, for once, it’s not the rays of sunlight reflecting off the water. It’s Les Clefs d’Or, the Golden Keys, a formal acknowledgement of the elegance and prestige of the Grand Hotel Tremezzo concierge.
Les Clefs d’Or is a historic guild founded in France, 1929. Established in Italy twenty years later, with the name Le Chiavi d’Oro, it promotes the most elegant and luxurious hospitality in Italy, a country famed for its beauty, art, and culture. In possession of the Golden Keys, the concierge can unlock exclusive experiences, such as the very best art, fashion, landscapes and cuisine, as well as the intangible art of savoir vivre.
From this season, Massimo dal Checco Modoni is managing the Grand Hotel Tremezzo concierge team. Born in Venice, raised in England, a Baroque singer and harpist who studied at Benedetto Marcello Conservatory in Venice and Trinity College of Music in London, Massimo has been a butler and concierge in the finest five-star luxury hotels in both Italy and the UK. Asked about his move from music to exclusive hotels, Massimo explains, “For me, they are both a performance. I have always been passionate about transforming every performance on stage into something breathtaking. Grand Hotel Tremezzo is the prized stage for me and the team, a stage where we look after modern connoisseurs of la dolce vita”.
The Grand Hotel Tremezzo concierge offers guests an extensive selection of once-in-a-lifetime experiences. From a candlelit dinner in a beautiful, secluded corner of a century-old park, to tastings of the finest local cheeses and wines. From an exploration of the azure waters aboard a period motor launch, to an exploration of the historic villas and villages Lake Como is famed for – Villa Carlotta, Villa Balbianello and Bellagio. Other inimitable experiences offered include a watercolour painting class, where guests can immerse themselves in the beauty of the lake, a visit to the most renowned silk workshops in Como, and a spree along the very best shopping streets in Milan.
The coveted acknowledgement from Les Clefs d’Or was celebrated on March 25th with a spectacular brunch in the elegant surroundings of Villa Sola Cabiati, an 18th-century residence once belonging to the Dukes of Serbelloni and now available exclusively to Grand Hotel Tremezzo guests. The reception, followed by an elegant afternoon tea, was attended by Bernie Gallotta, President of Lombardy and National Secretary of Les Clefs d’Or Italy, Cornelius Haug, President of Les Clefs d’Or Switzerland, and over 30 concierges from the most prestigious five-star establishments in Portofino, Milan and the Swiss lakes.
Les Clefs d’Or also boasts partners from the world of luxury fashion, including Dolce & Gabbana and Versace, who are working to promote excellence in art conservation.
