Emirates has been the title sponsor of the world’s richest horse race, held on Saturday, since it’s inception in 1996, and which this year was won by Japan’s Victoire Pisa.
With more than 80,000 guests in attendance, the Dubai World Cup attracts the world’s top thoroughbreds and some of the finest fillies, in a showcase of Dubai’s most glamorous and social side.
Emirates’ ongoing partnership with key events and brands worldwide, such as the Dubai World Cup and Australia’s own Emirates Melbourne Cup, continues to reaffirm the airline’s commitment to world-class events.
"Horse racing, with its global appeal, is the perfect channel to connect with Emirates customers, and the Dubai World Cup helps promote Dubai as a first-class tourist destination on an international stage”, said Richard Jewsbury, Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Far East and Australasia.
With a route network of 110 destinations, including 25 European destinations, Emirates’ customers around the world benefit from the global travel hub of Dubai, as both a stopover and holiday destination in itself.
