Get your creative juices flowing and present your emerging destination to us for a chance to snag a free digital ad campaign worth $500,000.

What’s the PATA CEO Challenge?

The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) and TripAdvisor has joined forces to offer new destinations a chance to win two digital marketing campaigns valued at half a million dollars each.

Winners will have the opportunity to collaborate with dedicated teams from TripAdvisor to craft and execute cutting-edge digital marketing campaigns that showcase their destinations to the world.

To enter the competition, simply prepare a set of items to present your destination’s tourism assets, highlighting what products within their destination have a special story for the global traveller.

The awards will be presented to the winners at the PATA Aligned Advocacy Dinner in London on November 2, with UNWTO Secretary General Taleb Rifai as the guest of honour.

All entries must conform to the categories described below. Please note that national tourism organisations and primary/capital cities do not qualify for the PATA CEO Challenge.

There are two distinct categories for entry.

  1. State, region and province  – (examples include Shandong province in China PRC, the state of Western Australia and Albay province in The Philippines)
  2. Second tier and third tier towns/cities – (examples include Chiang Rai in Thailand, Guilin in China PRC and Legazpi, Philippines)
