Hotels.com will be releasing the findings from its latest Hotel Price Index (HPI) at 12pm AEST on Wednesday, 2nd September 2015.
The HPI is a regular report on hotel prices in major destinations across the world, tracking the movement in prices that people actually paid for their accommodation and providing valuable insight into the reasons behind these changes.
The data is drawn from bookings made on the hundreds of thousands of hotels on the Hotels.com websites worldwide.
The latest Hotels.com HPI looks specifically at:
- Average prices paid by Australian travellers (in AUD) for hotel rooms globally in the first half of 2015 vs. the first half of 2014
- Average Australian hotel prices paid by both international and domestic travellers in the first half of 2015 vs. the first half of 2014
- The percentage change in hotel prices in the first half of 2015 vs. the first half of 2014
- Where Australian travellers got the best value for money both locally as well as abroad
