FRHI Hotels & Resorts and its three leading brands announce personnel appointments around the globe
FRHI Hotels & Resorts, the leading operator of Raffles Hotels & Resorts, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts, is pleased to announce several management-level appointments at its properties and locations worldwide. Recent appointments include:
Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park, welcomes Andrew Gajary as general manager. Gajary brings over 30 years of hospitality experience to this position andjoins from InterContinental Hotels (IHG). During his 16-year tenure at IHG, Gajary held progressive positions in Europe as well as throughout the United States. Gajary relocated to Canada in 2009 as general manager, InterContinental Toronto Yorkville and most recently held the position as general manager, InterContinental New York Times Square.
Kenneth J. Halljoins Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge as general manager. Hall brings over 22 years of experience with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, joining Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in 1992. Over the past two decades, Hall has held progressive management positions at Fairmont properties throughout Canada, United States and Bermuda. More recently, Hall was the director of operations, Fairmont Tremblant and held that position until he was promoted to hotel manager, Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth in Montreal. In 2012, Hall relocated to Chicago in his most recent position as hotel manager, Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park.
Fairmont Rey Juan Carlos I, Barcelona welcomes Franck Sibille as general manager. Sibille brings over 23 years of management experience in the luxury hospitality industry beginning his career at The Grand Hyatt in Hong Kong. In 2002, Sibille held his first general manager position at the Park Hyatt Madrid, Villa Magna. He later became the general manager of Hotel Puente Romano in Marbella, and at the same time, his responsibilities were extended to additional properties, including the development of Bora Bora Lagoon Resort and the general management of El Lodge, Ski and Spa Resort in Sierra Nevada. With the addition of the Marbella Club in Marbella, Sibille then became area general manager of MC Hotel Group.
Swissôtel Mètropole, Geneva welcomes Philippe Pourias as executive chef. For the last four years, Pourias was executive sous chef at the Grand Hotel Park in Gstaad, a Leading Hotel of the World. Pourias brings with him a wealth of worldwide experience with progressive culinary positions in Australia, Bora Bora and Ireland.
Swissôtel Resort Bodrum Beach welcomes Ibrahim Yorumez as executive chef.Yorumez will oversee all culinary operations at the resort when it debuts later this summer. Yorumez has over 18 years of experience in the culinary industry, beginning his career as chef de partie at Sea Garden Hotel & Village in Bodrum. From there, he held progressive culinary positions all over the world. In 2012, Yorumez returned to Turkey and most recently held the position of executive chef at Swissôtel Ankara.
Fairmont Beijing welcomes Billy Jin as director of sales & marketing. Jin began his hospitality career in 1995 at the Jing Guang New World Hotel. Since then he has held several progressive positions at worldwide brands in Beijing, Hong Kong, and London. Jin first joined Fairmont Beijing as director of sales in 2011, and was later promoted to director of sales & marketing. Most recently, Jin held the position at Swire Hotels as director, sales & marketing for Opposite House and East Beijing.
Raffles Hainan welcomes Bernard Kong as director of sales and marketing. Kong brings over 15 years of hospitality experience to this position, beginning his career with Jinjang Group in Suzhou. After several progressive positions with leading brands, Kong joined InterContinental Nanjing as director of sales and was later promoted to assistant director of sales and marketing. Kong’s most recent position was the director of sales & marketing at Sofitel Wanda Ningbo.
