Nurturing and supporting the skills of the amateurs of today could well pave the way for talented players to become the pros of tomorrow.
With that in mind, JC Travel Professionals are supporting amateur Australian football through an ongoing two year sponsorship of the Christian Football Federation of Australia (CFFA) National Titles, starting this year.
The Games commenced on 28 September 2014 at the Sydney Academy of Sport and Recreation in Narrabeen and concluded on 2 October 2014. The NSW Churches Football Association (NSWCFA) took out some of the most coveted trophies including the JC Travel Professionals CHAMPION STATE for 2014.
“We are delighted to be championing amateur football in Australia by being the major sponsor of the 2014 as well as 2015 National Titles”, says Freddy Mikhael, Managing Director of JC Travel Professionals.
Apart from sponsorship funding, JC Travel provided water, T-shirts and the all-important morale boost for all the amateur footballers around the country. The categories included boys and girls, as well as senior mens and ladies from all over Australia.
CFFA is the national umbrella organisation of amateur Christian football players and supporters in Australia, with an estimated 23,000 players nationwide.
After the conclusion of the games, NSWCFA came away with the following major wins: Under 18 Boys – Champions for 2014; Under 23 Men – Champions for 2014; Senior Ladies – Runners Up in Final and also awards for Player of Tournament, Player of Finals and Golden Glove; and Senior Mens – Champions for 2014.
JC Travel’s very own, Shahir Mikhael, represented the travel management company at the 2014 National Titles opening in Narrabeen. “It was amazing to have witnessed the footy spirit in all of the participants. Every player, young and old, was very eager to play their best game of football. To us, their sportsmanship and spirit made them all winners!”, Mikhael says.
