Gulf Air says it will further delay the resumption of flights between Bahrain and Iran after announced it would fly back to the country from September this year.
According to the carrier, the September return will now be pushed back to 1 October 2012 as it awaits approval from the Iranian Civil Aviation Authority.
In an online statement, the airline apologised for disruptions caused to passengers and reassured them “that it is working hard with the relevant authorities to re-launch services as soon as possible”.
Earlier this month the carrier resumed flights to Iraq, with flights between Al Najaf and Baghdad taking off from 20 and 21 September.
