Emirates is preparing to expand Aussie and Emirati reach into Europe, with the launch of a new daily services between Dubai and St Petersburg, Russia.
Commencing from 1 November this year, the flight will be the carrier’s twenty-eight European service and aims to capture growing demand travelling between the Australia, the Middle East and Russia.
“St Petersburg will be a great addition to our Russian flight offering from Australia, complementing Emirates existing daily services to Moscow,” the carrier’s Australasian vice president Barry Brown said.
“Not only is there a strong community with Russian heritage in Australia who will appreciate convenient services to St Petersburg via one-stop in Dubai, but it also opens new opportunities for us in the leisure and business travel market.”
The daily services EK137 will depart from Dubai at 10.35am, arriving at St Petersburg at 4.15pm and then depart the European city at 3.45pm, returning to Dubai the next day at 12.35am.
A week before flights kick-off, Emirates has announced a special inaugural economy fare of up to $1711 return for Aussie passengers as well as a business class ticket starting at $6601.
