V Australia and Etihad flew up to 200 agents from Melbourne to Sydney yesterday, prior to the airline‘s inaugural flight to Abu Dhabi.
Agents invited on the flight were able to experience the comfort of spacing on the aircraft as well as its premium economy and business class bedding.
Virgin Blue NSW industry sales account manager Clint Jones told e-Travel Blackboard the new service to Abu Dhabi opened the Australian carrier’s link to up to 65 destinations worldwide.
The Boeing 777-300ER is the airline’s first carrier to fly three cabins including business, premium economy and economy.
Prior to take off the agents from Sydney were treated to a traditional Abu Dhabi welcoming party complete with Middle Eastern coffees and dates.
Mr Jones added that V Australia would operate three services weekly into Abu Dhabi.
